Quick answers pulled directly from our parent handbook.
What are your hours of operation?
We are open Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM. We are closed on Saturdays and Sundays. To minimize disruption to classrooms, all children must be dropped off before 10:00 AM.
Do you provide meals and snacks?
Families provide a well-balanced lunch and a nutritious snack from home, along with three daily drinks. As an alternative, we offer a catered lunch service for $4.00 per meal. Please notify us of any food allergies with a signed doctor’s statement.
What should my child bring each day?
Every child needs two complete sets of extra clothes, a pair of extra shoes, and weather-appropriate clothing for outdoor play. We ask that children wear closed-toe, supportive sneakers. Flip-flops, sandals, crocs, and open-toed shoes are not allowed on the playground.
How do you handle sick children?
We follow North Carolina childcare health guidelines. Children may not attend with fever over 100.5°, vomiting, diarrhea, contagious illness, or other symptoms. If a child becomes ill during the day, we ask that you pick them up within 30 minutes. Children must be symptom-free and fever-free for a full 24 hours without medication before returning.
How do I enroll my child?
Start by scheduling a tour. Before care begins, we require an on-site visit, a completed registration packet turned in one week prior to the start date, a $85 non-refundable registration fee, and a deposit equal to one week of tuition.
How are tuition payments processed?
Tuition is billed every Monday and is due before childcare services are rendered. Payments are automatically drafted from a debit or credit card. Returned or declined payments incur a $35 processing fee.
What happens if I am late picking up?
A $10 late fee applies after 5:30 PM. After 5:40 PM, an additional $1.00 per minute is charged. Late fees must be paid in cash within five days. Repeated late pickups may result in termination of care.
Do you offer transportation?
No, The Learning Tree does not provide transportation. Parents and authorized adults are responsible for dropping off and picking up their children.
